The Dirham (also known in abbreviated form as AED) is the official currency of the UAE. When it comes to converting from USD to AED, it is fairly straightforward because the dirham has been pegged to the U.S. dollar since November 1997 at a rate of 1 U.S. Dollar to 3.6725 dirhams. However, when it comes to converting the Euro to AED, a similar peg does not exist and so there can be fluctuation in the exchange rate from day to day. In the below graph we show the history of the exchange rate of the Euro to AED:

While the Euro to AED exchange rate is certainly more volatile than the USD to AED, it has remained between 4.00 and 5.00 over the past 10 years, and between 4.00 and 4.50 over the past 5 years. As far as foreign exchange goes, that is not highly volatile.
